What started as friends helping each other out has grown into three successful local businesses serving families and companies across Florida, North Carolina, and Rhode Island.
Back in 2017, we were just three friends with different skills who kept helping each other out. Mike had been fixing computers since high school and was always the guy everyone called when their laptop died. Sarah had learned electrical work from her dad and was installing security cameras for family members who were tired of paying monthly fees to big companies. And David had a knack for helping older relatives with their passwords and online accounts.
We'd spend weekends helping each other's families and friends. Mike would fix Sarah's mom's computer, Sarah would wire up security cameras at David's uncle's shop, and David would help Mike's grandparents get back into their Facebook accounts. Word started spreading in the neighborhood.
Pretty soon, we realized we had something special. We weren't just good at what we did – we actually cared about the people we were helping. And unlike the big companies, we spoke plain English and showed up when we said we would.
As demand grew, we knew we needed to get serious about our skills. Mike got his A+ certification and started taking on IT projects for small businesses across the country. Sarah became a licensed electrician and worked with security companies from coast to coast, learning the ins and outs of every camera system on the market.
David dove deep into digital security and account management, helping everyone from tech startups in Silicon Valley to retirees in Florida manage their online lives safely. We were learning from clients all over the US, but we never forgot where we came from.
Every technique we learned working with big companies, every problem we solved for clients in other states, we brought back home to make our local services even better. We were getting world-class experience but keeping our small-town values.
By 2019, we decided to make it official. Each of us started our own business, but we kept working together as a team. That's how PE Security Systems, PE IT Services, and PE Digital Services were born.
Sarah's electrical background and experience with security systems nationwide made her the go-to person for camera installations that actually work. No monthly fees, no cloud nonsense – just reliable security that saves to your house.

Sure, we could have expanded nationwide or moved to big tech cities. We've had the opportunities. But here's the thing – we love our communities. We love knowing our customers by name. We love being the people you can call when something breaks and actually getting a human being who cares.
When Mrs. Johnson calls because her computer is acting up again, we don't see a ticket number. We see our neighbor who bakes the best cookies in the neighborhood and just wants to video chat with her grandkids. When the local restaurant owner needs his POS system fixed, we know that's his livelihood on the line, and we treat it that way.
We've taken everything we learned working with clients from California to New York and brought it home to serve the people who matter most to us – our friends, our families, and our neighbors.
Today, we're proud to serve hundreds of families and dozens of local businesses across Florida, North Carolina, and Rhode Island. We've installed security systems that have helped catch break-ins, fixed computers that hold decades of family photos, and helped seniors stay connected with their loved ones online.
We're still the same three friends who started this journey, just with a lot more experience and a few more gray hairs. We still answer our own phones, we still show up when we say we will, and we still treat every customer like family.
Because at the end of the day, that's what this is all about – using our skills to help the people we care about live better, safer, and more connected lives. And we wouldn't have it any other way.
